GUYS! I HAVE FINALLY READ A DETECTIVE TYPE BOOK THAT IS A SUSPENSE/THRILLER - AND IS ACTUALLY DAMN GOOD.
These types of books always are popular and I can never get into them until this book... it was 50% off at Barnes and Noble and listed the monthly pick - it would have been a crime to not get this book and give it a try. Well let me tell you about it...
Quick Summary
This book is told from 3 points of view, mainly from Odette who is a local law enforcement office trying to solve the disappearance of a towns loved one and Angel, who was a girl found in the middle of nowhere - lost. Then for a small part of the beginning, it's told in the view of Wyatt, who is being accused of the one harming the lost women, who is his sister. Throughout the book you watch Odette try and solve the cold case of Tru (Wyatts sister) who has been gone for 5 years but can't shake it. With small towns comes secrets, history, and drama and this book gives you it all. All while this is going on a young girl shows up and Odette tries to figure out that mystery as well. Suddenly - something happens and fast forward some odd years later and it's told from Angel's point of view who tries to finish finding the secret that burdened the town for so long.
I won't tell you the ending but I will tell you - you find out who the person is responsible for all the crimes. It's not very obvious... you might think about this person but the author does a great job trying to confuse you into who the killer might be.
Plot
I really enjoyed this book because there was a theme to this book, or so I portrayed, and it has to do with having physical disabilities and how it doesn't make you any less of a human being. The characters are amazing and you end up being close to all of them - it's almost like you're the detective.
This book was unique for how it was written and making it easy to go along with without making it confusing. I believe I read this book in only 2 days - so it was VERY hard to put down.
GIVE IT A TRY, YOU WON'T REGRET IT!
