I want to start off saying that I received a free copy of this book and in exchange I will give my honest review!
My honest review is...
I LOVED IT!
Overall I did love this book - it was a great idea for a romance novel the only thing is - it was only 200 pages long and that was just not enough. So the story felt rushed and so many details were left out that could have made this book that much better! But this was probably the authors first book or she is new and just finding out her rhythm.
Quick Summary
Childhood friends who have some unresolved sexual tension come together again while working on their careers. Benji, is obviously distracted by Desi, who honestly is in her own little world. Throughout the book they go through work drama, dating other people, and jealous that in the end brings them together. I can't really say much else without giving the entire book away. Because there really wasn't many details just the main plot.
Characters
I really liked Benji who was the main character but there just wasn't enough time to get more details about him and when he was younger. Desi is pretty much the same way but she actually annoyed me more than not because she was so oblivious to everything going on around her - like she was playing the "dumb blonde." Desi also had a HUGE friend group and if the book was longer it probably would have been ok but when you put 8 different friends in a room... the dialogue can get jumbled and confusing.
Overall - this book was easy to read and had GREAT potential so I am excited to see what the author will have in the future!
